BYPL NEWS - U14 and U16BYPL match reports

U14 BYPL: Caboolture 2-0 Taringa

We hosted Taringa this weekend for round 10. It was 1st v 3rd . Caboolture ran out 2-0 winners. Both goals scored by Pakino (Pinky) Prathuangsin. A resolute Taringa defence made it difficult for our attackers to penetrate effectively despite us having the majority of possession. An excellent performance by the Taringa keeper kept our score down. It took a spectacular goal by Pinky to break the dead lock just prior to half time. Our strong possession game resulted in a late goal from a set piece securing our 10th win from 10 games also happy with our 2nd clean sheet of the season. Special mention to Jaidyn Vincent and Charlie Hosking, both boys playing a solid game. We take on a mid-table Olympic FC to complete the first round of games.  Well done team

U16 BYPL: Caboolture 4-2 North Pine

The U16 BYPL team had a hard fought 4 - 2 win against a very enthusiastic North Pine team.  For a second week in a row there were only 11 squad players available and we thank Charlie Tarr and Lincoln Herman from the U15 BYPL for making themselves available.

We started slowly but as the first half progressed, started to get on top of the opposition and had a number of chances that were not taken.  It took 31 minutes for our first goal, taken well by Lincoln after a precision through ball from Reuben Love-Semara.

The team then lost concentration, and this allowed North Pine to score 2 quick goals in the 35th and 41st minutes, leaving us down 2-1 at half time.  Some truthful words about the performance from coach Justin Barnett was needed during the break. The second half was mostly Cabo on attack, and it took a first-class strike from Reuben in the 55th minute to level the score.  Another great strike in the 82nd minute from Harry and a second goal to Lincoln (85th minute) completed the scoring.
