Mini Roo’s Under 6 to U12’s - FAQ

 

When’s the season run from?

Football (Soccer) is a winter sport and runs from March to September.

 

What age do I register my child in?

The age your child is turning that year or has turned.

Example –

Child is born in January 2014 or December 2014 (10 years of age)  – They would be in Under 10’s for the 2024 season.

 

My Child is turning 5 this year can they play?

If you child is turning 5 in 2024, they can play Football, they would be in an Under 6 team. They will need to play two years in under 6 age group.

Unfortunately, children younger than this are not able to play in U6’s.

 

What is muster?

Muster is a day where all noncompetitive Mini Roo’s attend at an allocated time to meet their team and select a coach and manager from the parents in your team.

When is muster?

Muster is being held on Sunday March 8th 2024 – at our Club house Moreton Bay sports precinct Burpengary

• U6 - 9am -9.45am

• U7 - 10am-10.45am

• U8 - 11am -11.30am

• U9 - 11.45- 12.15pm

• U10 - 12.30 -1.00pm

• U11 - 1.15pm - 1.45pm

# Please arrive 15min before your allocated time to ensure we start on time.
# No football boots in the club house
# Kids just wear normal clothes as they are meeting their team members and selecting a coach and manager from the parents in your team.

# Komodo teams are not required to attend muster.

# Coaches and managers will be selected from the parents in the respective teams at these ages. - so if possible please put your hand up and take up one of these positions - it is very rewarding and your child will love you for it, and as a bonus you get to spend more quality time with your own child every week.

When and How do I receive the Players Kits?

You will receive the players kits once all the teams have been created and your Coach or Manager will notify you on the collection procedure.

 

When is training ?

Training is generally between Monday – Thursday in the afternoon/evening

Your coach will advise training days and times.  Generally teams discuss this at muster with each other.

 

When are games?

Mini Roo games on held on Saturday’s.  Times are advised once draws are released by Football Brisbane.  This is closer to the start of the season.

When do the games start?

In the 2020 season the Football Brisbane games start 2nd May 2020.

 

I signed up on the pre-registration do I still need to register?

Yes, registrations opened on the 2nd January. 

The pre-registration was so you were able to be sent information for the 2020 season’s sign on.

How do I apply my $150.00 "Get Start" voucher?

Please email your signed voucher to Peter our General Manager and he will apply it. gm@caboolturesportsfc.com.au

 

Will I be on the same team as last season?

Whilst we try our best to keep teams together, at times their can be changes.  If you have a particular request you can email gm@caboolturesportsfc.com.au and once registrations close they will be looked at.
